Mitchell not only brings a wide knowledge of legal cases and management to the Wyatts Compensation Lawyers team, he also has a long-standing connection to the regions and communities of Sydney’s south, where Wyatts has long been based. Mitchell studied at the University of Wollongong, where gained his Bachelor’s degree in Law and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, as well as a Distinction-level Bachelors degree in Commerce and International Business. He is also committed to local community service, through the Jannali Anglican Church.
Mitchell practices in numerous areas of law, including:
Mitchell is privileged to spend every working day helping clients to understand how the law applies specifically to their case, and seeking outcomes that will benefit them in the short and long terms, rather than only a quick result. He always explains the law and legal principles in plain English and ensures that every client understands exactly what they can expect, and what the law can do for them.
Above all, Mitchell prides himself on being a good listener and on developing empathy for clients in any situation. He is also committed and diligent: one of his proudest moments was helping to reverse an unfair and very large property decision in the Supreme Court, which ensured life-changing compensation for a client who had made an assault claim. Mitchell is always at work on strategies to assist clients in the most timely and cost-effective way.
When he is not at work, Mitchell loves spending time with his partner Steph, eating out and relaxing with a glass of wine. A keen traveller, soccer-player and gym-goer, he is also on the Board of Directors of Young Life Australia, a not-for-profit youth organisation.
